Smart, whimsical, and often scathing, the fiction of Kurt Vonnegut influenced …

A generation of American writers -including Dave Eggers, author of this volume’s Foreword. In these previously unpublished gems, Vonnegut’s originality infuses a unique landscape of factories, trailers, and bars-and characters who pit their dreams and fears against a cruel and sometimes comically indifferent world.  In other words, a ‘bridge of sighs’ and Sir Robin Trower is on as I type so it is never rocket science.  But it could be!  1980 competition “pullboat” captured my eyes and will be, hopefully, left for Kevin Michael and Shannon Lauren Callihan, share and share, alike.  Like my Dad said, “…’Sport, it is either of two things that have alternatives of course, but pleasure boating is what it is and not going out without understanding the safety concerns before you realize pleasure, must be kept in line regardless of the body of water you navigate.’  So it was as it is today.  That pleasure boating template or avocation for both of my parents did not get told to me at all.  I took right to it as soon as the responsibilities could be handled and now, after the maiden voyage it will be handled appropriately and according to my last directives.  Nothing so serious except for the fact that when I do ‘retro-read’ this is not something I want to edit or remove.  Long Days and Pleasant Evenings with the very best of health to you and your loved ones, always … Kevin Michael Callihan, Athens, Ohio  UNITED STATES  45701
